How Graal Platform works?
Graal Platform operations can be divided into two categories - control plane and compute plane. You use the control plane to manage resources and configuration in your tenant. You use the compute planes to use capabilities in your or our infrastructures.
- The control plane includes the backend services that Graal Systems manages on its own infrastructure. Jobs, projects, definitions, roles, users... and many other configurations are stored in the control plane and encrypted at rest.
- The compute planes are managed by our teams and is where your data resides. This is also where data is processed. You can use connectors so that your clusters can connect to external data sources outside of your compute planes to ingest data or for storage. You can also ingest data from external streaming data sources, such as events data, streaming data, IoT data, and more.
Your data are stored at rest in the compute plane and in your own data sources, not the control plane, so you maintain control and ownership of your data. Job results reside in storage in your account.
